Sue the Dinosaur that is.....she is on display at the Science Center and Paul has been itching to go since it opened earlier this month. Turns out we picked the totally wrong day to go as there was some sort of family festival at the Science Center today and it was crazy busy. But we made the best of it and enjoyed our time with Sue.

And then there was the fun while Lillie tried to get up on a stool. She none too happy when Paul tried to help her. Oh and there was apparent planking involved!
And then it was off to the dominoes...
We headed home and went outside to play in the snow. It is amazing what some plastic scoops, buckets and bowls can do to keep the kids occupied.
Paul started his first session of Tae Kwon Do at the beginning of the year and the session is drawing to a close. This was a bit of a test to see if he liked it and wanted to continue. The class is held through the local YMCA. It is reasonably priced and I really liked the instructor...the downside is that the Y has allowed far too many students in the class. Sometimes there are over 20 kids in the class. That is a whole lotta 4 to 7 year olds to wrangle and sometimes there are only 2 adult instructors. In addition, there are several students that are not well behaved which takes a lot of time away from the rest of the class. The last few classes have been wonderful....because only 14 or so kids have been there. That really is the perfect sized class. We haven't bought Paul a uniform because we wanted to make sure he liked the classes.....those darn things are $50 so that would be quite a waste if he tried a few classes and then got bored. He made it through the 7 week session and to celebrate that along with his enrollment in the second session, I think it is likely we will buy him a uniform now. I can't wait to see his cute little self in his uniform! We've taken a few videos over the last two classes and since I haven't posted much about his TKD, I thought tonight would be dedicated to cute TKD vids! They do different skill building each class - usually in the form of drills that build on each other. The goal of the class is to gain discipline, show respect and find balance. And with that...enjoy our cute Lil Dragon. Drill with some kicks and punches....

Unfortunately instead of spending time with my favorite family I had a work dinner scheduled....so we switched up our plans and had a special Valentine's breakfast before heading to Paul's Friendship Party. Check out our decorations.....

While not ideal to spend Valentine's Day dinner with a bunch of health system executives, I think we made the most of the day and proved that flexibility can be fun too. Lots of great fun and plenty of surprises from our family. We clearly have a lot of love to share with each other.
