Today was Lillie's kindergarten graduation. No idea how this happened as the year just flew right by. Peter picked up a bouquet of flowers for his noona. He was clearly excited to be responsible for the flowers.
Hanging out in the super humid gym - all smiles.
She kept looking over at us and smiling with little waves here and there. So darn cute.
The teachers did a great job teaching the kids some very cute songs. Love all of the hand motions.
They split into small groups to cover the letters of the alphabet to describe themselves as kindergarten students. Lillie was in the "O" group.
Then it was time to don their handmade graduation caps (LOVED this idea) and walk for their certificates.
One more song to wrap up the ceremony.....they are all clearly excited to be FIRST GRADERS.
And then they were done....Peter handed over her flowers and she was thrilled.
With her friend Joyce.
A wonderful principal at a wonderful school. We have been blessed with two amazing elementary schools, teachers and principals.
Goofy girl.
I can't wait to see the places she will go. She is fierce and determined....and silly and a good friend.
We headed down to Paul's classroom and ran across this great photo op. Not quite the last day but very close.
Unfortunately I was sick for Mother's Day weekend but I rallied and we had a great weekend. Saturday was a little belated birthday fun for Paul. Rather than a big party this year, we opted for a small outing with just a few of his friends. He chose lunch at a local diner and then Extreme Weather 3D at the Putnam. We all loved the movie!
They even had the Tornado Intercept Vehicle outside for us to peek inside. Very cool.
The kids played at the adjacent park for a while before we headed back to the house.
What's better than popsicles and water on the driveway. And because these are 9 year old boys you can only imagine the extreme bottle flipping that followed. So glad Paul has made some good friends. I had a great time listening to these boys talk and talk and talk. They were super polite and I think everyone had fun!
Even daddies like popsicles it seems.
And Peter likes them too!
Peter scored his very own scooter.....since his big bro and sis love to scooter, we thought he would like to scoot around with them. Unfortunately about 45 seconds after this photo was taken the whole thing fell apart. it went back to the store and was replaced with a different scooter the next morning.
We headed to Saturday Mass and then out for yummy dinner....mommies choice was a local Thai place. That let us sleep in a little on Sunday morning. Lillie was super anxious to show me what she made me at school. It was hand delivered to me in bed - and she was already dressed. Love that girl.
We spent most of the day outside - it was lovely weather and there were lots of wheels involved in the day. Here's my crew.
And here's my crew acting all crazy. This is probably more representative of normal life around here!
Lillie's cool Hello Kitty scooter broke so she scored a new pink Razor scooter. She loves its speed......and has started living a little on the edge and scootering with a raised leg.
Here's the goofball in action......she makes me laugh.
Loving his bike!
Pink scooter gal. Her outfit matches her scooter.....because why not.
The boy that made me a mother.
Three scootering fools.
We spent the afternoon with Gram and Pa and GranJo. They loved watching the kids motor around on anything with wheels. Then the ladies walked to the park with the kids. Here's Peter on his new scooter.....he is really getting the hang of it quickly.
GranJo even took her turn with the nerf gun. She looks fierce!
We headed home and grilled out a nice dinner. It was so nice that we ate on the deck before opening up our cards and gifts. Lillie was quite the helper.
We wrapped up the evening with banana splits. SO good.
I think they were excited.....and I know they were super sweaty and needed baths and showers tonight!
The ladies on Mother's Day. I love these ladies....such great role models for Lillie.
It was such a lovely weekend.....now if my head would stop pounding, my throat would stop burning and my nose would stop running. Off to bed and here's hoping the happy Mother's Day vibes will cure what ails me and I wake up renewed and refreshed.
Here we go with massive catch-up posts. Kind of fun to go back through from last fall. A very HOT trip to the zoo.
Twins!
I love when they act like they love each other.

Nice walk at Gray's Lake. Beautiful day. And Lillie clearly prances while she walks.

Always with the dabbing.
School picture day!
UNI Panther homecoming.....love my little Panthers!
Dinner in our Panther gear.
Princess Elephant is still very loved.
The Prairie Dog Dash at school. It was damp and windy....my hair was much bigger than normal. Lillie had a great time running and Paul walked with his teacher due to his cast.
A super fun Princess lunch with our friend Lucy!
Lovely friends Carey and Lucy.
She loved all of the princess interactions.
SO excited that her favorite princess of the day arrived at our table. Checking out Princess Tiana.
More princesses.....
Once final hug before we left.
Every princess needs a little ice cream when they are done with their event.
Partners in crime.
Last trip to Yumz before they closed for good.
Fall parties at school. Fun to spend time in both parties.
Kids love Halloween fun.

Everything is better with sundaes.
More board games....Blokus is pretty fun!
His first birthday at home with us....we celebrated a LOT. Here was the dessert they brought him at our favorite diner. He was just a little excited.
Our party at home....big breath and blow them all out!
